A Valentine's Day Decoration Using Scraps

This Valentine's Day craft was made entirely of scraps!

Here's a quick tutorial:

I used 3-2" 2x4.
I used a belt sander to smooth the wood on all sides.
I painted all sides of the wood a light pink.
I cut paper to fit the fronts of the 3 pieces of wood.
I used Mod Podge as glue to attach the paper to the fronts of the three blocks.
After the Mod Podge dried, I put a layer of Mod Podge on the top of the paper and let it dry.
When it was completely dry, I sanded the edges to give it a blended/distressed look.
Using my Silhouette, I cut "XOXO"(font-Copperplate Gothic), "Adore"(font-Amazing Ruler), and "Love" (font-Waterfalls) out of red vinyl.
I positioned the vinyl on the blocks (I always use transfer tape... so much easier!)... and applied the vinyl.
I then used wood glue to glue the staggered blocks together.
After the glue was dried, I attached ribbon, using a hot glue gun.
Here's the side view.

Stay tuned for more great Valentine's Day projects!
