My friend's son is a little rockstar. His bedroom has been rockstar and guitar themed since he was born. It is really cute.
Back in the winter she asked me to make him a rockstar hat to keep his head warm. I think it turned out really cute.

Baby Gift Set
A friend of mine recently had her second baby boy. I wanted to make her a special blanket for the little man. Thankfully, I had it made just in time for her little man to be born.

Pumpkin Hats
Fall is just around the corner and I couldn't be happier. I love when the weather cools down, but is still warm enough to really enjoy being outside. I'm ready for all the fall festivals, pumpkin patches, colorful change of trees and bonfires.

Newsboy Hat
My sister wanted a cute newsboy hat for my nephew this past winter. I love trying out new patterns. I jumped on board to try the newsboy hat. I had plans to make Evan one as well, but we had a warm winter and time didn't allow for me to make another. He might get one for this winter though.

Initial Earflap Hat
Awhile back, a friend of mine asked me to make an initial flower on an earflap hat for a baby gift. She sent me some examples of what she liked from different hats but she wanted to use a variegated yarn. She also wanted me to make a flower for the side with the baby's first initial sewn inside. I thought this was a really cute idea.

Cowboy Hat & Cowboy Boots
Back in the spring my friend Lauren was pregnant with her first child. I asked her to look through my patterns and pick out some things for me to make for her soon to be little man, Walker. She knew she was going to have professional pictures taken so she picked out a Cowboy hat. Well, I couldn't let any cowboy have just a hat. He needed some cute boots to match.
Lauren had her little boy in late June and has already had the professional pictures taken. I was so happy when she shared the link and download with me. Now I get to share them with you!

Yellow Roses - Teacher gift
Last week was beyond CRAZY! We had the boys birthday/goodbye party on Saturday and I took on WAY too much in the preparations. Will I ever learn? (Not likely!) I can't wait to share the party with you, but it will have to wait till next week.
This week is Teacher Appreciation. Each day I will showcase what my son is taking to spoil his teacher. You can never spoil a teacher enough! They do so much that goes unnoticed. Take the time to give back and show some much needed appreciation!
I have lots of cute items to give Ryan's kindergarten teacher. The room mother had a daily list of things to give the teacher. I am trying to follow the list with some additional crafty gifts!
The first day was the teacher's favorite flower; a yellow rose. Well, I knew she would probably get a few bouquets worth and that they would eventually die off. I wanted to give her something that would last and that she could use as a decoration.

Gage's Blanket
Back in the fall I made a baby blanket for my husband's cousin's child, Gage (did you follow that?). This family loves all things camouflage that is why I went with a hunter green. I used my favorite yarn, I Love this Yarn from Hobby Lobby.
I used one of my favorite patterns. It is from RAKJ Patterns. It is called the Triple Stitch Blanket. I love it as you can use just about any yarn and any size hook. This blanket works up really quickly. You can see another picture of one that I worked up in a bulky weight yarn here.

Owl Tissue Box Cover
A friend of mine asked me to make an owl tissue box cover as a teacher gift for her. I have never made a tissue box cover, but thankfully, I found a free pattern. I wanted to model it off the owl purse that I make.

Lamb Hat Pictures
Back in mid-March I shared the Lamb hat that I made for my friend's daughter. Well, it has taken me too long, but I finally got the pictures uploaded to the tonight!
Check out this beautiful little girl! She is rocking the hat with her adorable jacket. My friend Loria is also quite the photographer!
If you are interested in this hat or other items that I make, you can find them in my etsy shop. I post all my products (whether they are currently listed or not) on my facebook page (Jillysboutique11). Go "like" my page. Any specials will be posted on Facebook!

GraciAnn's Doll Clothes
Back in the fall, Shannon's daughter, GraciAnn had a birthday. Shannon had mentioned that GraciAnn was really into doll clothes. Well, I knew I didn't have time to sew some clothes nor did I want the headache and frustration that would cause me. I like to sew, but I want the products that I make to be high quality. Trying something for the first time would not be the quality that I like.
Instead I went the route that I knew I could accomplish. I got on the internet and found a crochet doll dress pattern.

Little Boy Booties
Recently, I made a pair of adorable little boy booties and a hat for a friend who was pregnant. She has since had her sweet little man. Yesterday, I got a picture of her son in the hat I made and the little booties. Oh he is just precious! I also love that he is sporting the items I made him.
Isn't he just a doll?

Cat in the Hat Crochet Hat & Bow
In case you didn't know, March 2 was Dr. Seuss's Birthday. Ryan's (my oldest) elementary school was having a day filled with fun activities for the kids to celebrate Dr. Seuss and his birthday.
One of the activities that occurred was a school parade. Any child, teacher, or staff member who dressed as a Dr. Seuss character could walk in the parade. Ryan begged and begged for me to help him dress like The Cat in the Hat. He actually thought I would make him a whole tuxedo like outfit. He was dreaming on that one. I did however crochet him a hat and bow-tie that mimicked The Cat in the Hat's attire.

Minnie Mouse Purse
My friend's daughter had her first birthday a couple weeks back. It was all Minnie Mouse themed. I made her a Minnie Mouse Hat like I have shown you before. I wanted to make one more thing for her. I believe every little girl should have an adorable purse. I went beyond the other purses I have been making and made her a Minnie Mouse Purse!
Check it out!

Crochet Heart Hair Clip
The other day I made some heart hair clips for my daughter and for an order in my shop. They were so easy to make that I wanted to give you an easy tutorial. These hair clips can be attached to any hat or directly in the hair.
Are you ready for a very easy tutorial?

Ear warmer or Headwrap
I added a new project to my Christmas list this year. It is a beautiful ear warmer. I made one for my husband's cousin's wife, Lana (follow that one?). She looked through my pattern book and said she would love one of those. I actually made her two. One was just a basic ear warmer and the other one was a new stitch for me, the basket-weave or waffle stitch. I preferred the new stitch. I liked it so much that I made my best friend, Laura, one for Christmas as well.
If you don't like hats but want something cute to keep you warm, an ear warmer is a great accessory. (It is hard to write about this when it is 70 today in Georgia on February 2!)
Check the ear warmers out.

Cowls
I have a new fascination and love for cowls. The problem is I haven't had time to make myself one! I pinned a bunch of cowls on Pinterest so that I could pick the right one that I wanted to make for myself. Well, my sister saw them and pinned her order for me. I don't mind. Making money is better than making something for myself right now. I also made one for a friend.
All three of these cowls, I made before Christmas. People, I am telling you I was a crocheting fool before Christmas. Never will I do that again! I like to enjoy crocheting not feel like I am in mass production mode. I felt like I was the only worker in a sweat shop! Whew!
No matter the stress, I love the cowls that I created. I have included the links to the patterns that I used as well.
