Day 11 of our 12 Days of Giveaways: Adorable Crocheted Cloche

Today's giveaway is an Adorable Crocheted Cloche. The cloche can be made for a child up to 6 years old in a variety of colors to choose from. I am away from my picture files so here is an example picture from the pattern maker. Isn't it adorable!

I will put one of my large flowers on it, like the one shown in this headband.

The giveaway will end on Wednesday, December 22 at Noon.  The winner will be announced by 8pm on the same day.  Unfortunately, since this is handmade and custom colors, I won't be able to get it to you before Christmas.

It is very easy to enter this giveaway.  Remember to leave a comment for each entry.

Comment 1:  Tell us your favorite baby shower gift you received or like to give.

Dry Erase Menu Frame Tutorial

I have wanted a Menu Board in my kitchen for years! I like the chalkboard ones, but wanted something that wouldn't be as messy.  I recently saw this Weekly Wipe off Menu Board tutorial and adapted mine to meet my needs. I might actually stick to my menu plan if I have it written on a menu board.

This is a very easy project and an inexpensive gift idea!

Supplies needed:
10 by 10 frame (Micheal's on sale for $5) or 12 by 12 frame (haven't found an inexpensive one)
Various Scrapbook papers
Vinyl cut in color of your choosing OR print on scrapbook paper

1. First, cut your vinyl on your Silhouette or Cricut.  Make sure to mirror the image as you will be putting it on the actual glass. That is why my words are backwards.
2. Clean the glass frame.  Using your transfer paper, place each word appropriately on the glass.
3.  If you don't have vinyl or a cutting machine, skip the first two steps.  Cut your scrapbook paper to fit in your frame to either 10 by 10 or 12 by 12.  I plan to change mine depending on the season.  If you didn't put vinyl on your glass, you will want to put your scrapbook paper through your printer.  If you change the paper for the season, you will want to print on the scrapbook paper each time.

Here is the one I made for Shannon, which is on Christmas paper:
I made this one for my sister to go in her kitchen.  I really like the paper design.
My kitchen has all white cabinets and other hangings so I spray-painted mine white.  I also love snowmen so that was an easy scrapbook paper to pick.

Happy Menu Planning!

Gift Idea: Growth Chart

Earlier this year, Shannon made me a beautiful growth chart for my sweet Anna.  Here is a picture of it in here room. I need to take a better picture of just it though!
Getting this growth chart, gave me the idea of making one for my Mom.  Every year at Christmas she takes the measurements of all the grand-kids.  She was mentioning at Thanksgiving that she wished it wasn't on the wall, but on something she could keep.  Aha!  Anytime she gives me an idea for a gift, I just on it.  Therefore, I made her a growth chart for measuring the grand-kids.  We just gave it to her today and she already has it hung up.
Here is a longer view of it.
If you are interested in making a growth chart for someone, here is a great tutorial on how to do so:  How to Make a Wood Growth Chart

Sparkle Wreath Tutorial

For an earlier giveaway I made a Sparkle Wreath.  Now I want to share how easy it is to make one of your own.  You can make it with any garland of your choosing.

Supplies Needed:
2-3 Nine feet sections of garland
1 small foam wreath

I found both of these supplies at the Dollar Tree.  That means if you buy 3 garlands and the foam wreath, you just spent $4 on your Holiday wreath!

Directions:
Take your garland and tie it around your foam wreath.  It doesn't have to be really tight, just enough to stay while you wrap the garland.
Wrap the garland around the wreath and push it snug to the other garland as you go.  You can get away with less garland but you may have gaps.  I liked using about 2 1/2 of the garlands for a thick wreath.
When you are finished fully wrapping the garland, tuck the end under a previous piece.  Voila!  A simple, easy yet elegant wreath.
Since it is a small wreath, you can also use it on a tabletop as a candle holder or centerpiece.  The wreath is  red and silver, so you could even use this for Valentine's Day decorations.

I'm a huge University of Kentucky fan so I made a wreath for March Madness.  While I wait for March, it looks nice in my dining room with my cobalt decorations.

Head out and get your inexpensive foam wreath and garland for a great gift or decoration!
